Mr. Zulfiqar Ali Ursani is the Chief Executive Officer of Global Connect Synergy Pvt. Limited. He has held leadership roles in multinational companies and government sector of Pakistan throughout his professional career. Under his leadership, he has accelerated growth across the company in a very short span of time. His ideology is to transform the conventional ways of approaching a business situation in to innovative strategies and shaping initiatives in developed and emerging markets.
Previously, Mr. Ursani served as Country Head Operations in Transworld Associates which is a Joint Venture – JV of Orascom Telecom Holding, Saif Group and Omzest Group of Oman. One of the prime and significant achievements of Mr. Ursani at Transworld Associates was to lead a team of International and National Engineers to land the SEMEWE5 submarine cable on Hawksbay Beach of Pakistan. Mr. Ursani has also served PTCL for 17 years and his last assignment with PTCL was as Regional GM Operations in Karachi and Hyderabad.
Mr. Ursani has assisted Sindh Revenue Board for Telecom Services as a Consultant from 2012 to 2014. He is also a member of Expert Panel of Punjab Revenue Board, Federal Tax Ombudsman, SZABIST, MAJU, MUET and NED University.
Mr. Ursani was awarded a M.S Telecom Management degree by INT France in collaboration with National Postgraduate Institute of Telecom & Informatics, Islamabad (a subsidiary of Pakistan Telecom Limited). Before that he earned a bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from MUET Jamshoro.
